Position: Technical Project Manager

Position Summary: The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members to deliver projects according to plan. The Technical Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.


Key Responsibilities:

- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders

- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents

- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end. Coach, mentor, and motivate project team members, and motivate them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work

- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals

- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders

- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Track project milestones and deliverables

- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle. Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements


Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 3-5 years of project management experience in a technical environment

- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred

- Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management

- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices

- Experience with software development projects is highly desirable.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment


Skills and Abilities:

- Strong understanding of software development life cycles, including Agile methodologies.

- Technical background, with experience in software development, system administration, or IT infrastructure.

- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.

- Strong written and oral communication skills.

- Conducting research into project-related issues and products.
